Memories of Heidi
RIP to my Heidi, aka Heidsters, Heids, sister, hooker, sweet girl....the tears flow..there arent enough words or monikers to describe you, and what you meant to me. You were, ARE my bestie, escape artist, snuggle stealer, dancer, and so much more. As we process your passing, it seems so unreal. You're gone. We are left with this huge Heidi-shaped hole, and I'm never going to get over you. So sorry we couldn't send you off. That hurts like hell. But you had your sister with you and she took great care of you. I know she petted you and said she loved you and that it was going to be OK. I would give anything for you to be here, but not to suffer. So I let you go. That is the hardest thing I have ever had to do, along with saying good bye to Zoe. More than anything I would've wanted you to see us as you were passing. As selfish as that is.

Run free and dance like the wind! I will always remember you as being a creeper while I was in the bathtub, following me all over the house, talking back, taking part in waking up my kid, and always laying by my side. You helped me through many a tough time. In heaven, those back legs work again for you, you are chasing bunnies, squirrels, and running with other dogs. I'm sure you are with my daughter. I hope they don't have fireworks in heaven, but that they have tons of treats!

Wag that tail and smile that smile that I love. Save us a place sweetheart.
