Memories of Jack
Jack was such a special, unique guy. He loved everyone. He was always happy, and would come running when I got home from work. He would jump in the bed and stand on me, not moving until he finally decided it was time to lay down. The bed was not good enough. He had to sleep on top of me. He always drug his wand toy to another room after he caught it, then cry for me to get it and play some more. He always had to be near me, and while he didn't like a lot of petting, he would maintain some form of contact and always gave head butts. And he never could meow properly. For such a big cat, his voice was high and tiny. Squeaks were his method of communication. After he pooped, he would chirp and run around the house.

What I didn't know is your heart wasn't perfect, and one night it just stopped working. I found you in the morning, still in your bed. I wish I could have been with you buddy. I wish I could have fixed it. I wish you were still here. Even Melly misses you despite her tendency to get annoyed with your exuberance. She was calling for you last night, and when she couldn't find you she curled up with me in bed.

I miss you Jack-Jack, Big Buddy, Big Fuzz.
